After I published my post on the 6 types of men in a woman’s life, my friends and everyone else that read that piece asked me about the types of women in a man’s life. Honestly, I wanted to think I could answer that question simply. But it got me thinking: what types of women exist in a man’s life? Are they too many to list: is it even a thing? But it was only after taking leave off thinking that I could list the types of women in a man’s life.
The true lover
She’s not a seductress; she hardly wants anything in return – her intentions are pure. She wishes him well and will always be there for him. She’s patient for his love and may easily go unnoticed to the guy who’s always on the move from conquest to conquest. If you’re lucky, you’ll notice a little jealousy when you introduce a girlfriend to her. But such a scenario will never yield a relationship even after the guy knows she loves him since he just doesn’t love her.
The one he truly loves
A number of guys out here really love just as much as there are a number of guys who only want to have fun. To him, she has all his attention and she may know it and appreciate whether she’s interested in him or not. Or she may think him desperate and vulnerable thus use him and abuse his emotions. Hardly do men choose the right person to shower with all their love. Or is it fate: that we’ll kiss a million frogs before we find our princesses?
The attention seeker
I bet every guy is familiar with that time they admitted to be crazy about a girl for a superficial reason: her voice, her little giggle and the clatter of her heels when she gallivants in your surrounding. Although guys will have some creepy reasons for their interests in a lady, and men will always be men, as women will agree, there are women who will always be women.
Sometimes guys may not be interested in you, so best to save those seductive wiles for the guy that will be in a true relationship with – no pun intended. And yes, men can also just want to be friends. So can we just be friends?
But let’s get this right before someone starts branding some of his female friends whorish, the attention-seeking lady may not necessarily be after a relationship. Attention may be a boost for her self-confidence.
There’s one thing some guys can hardly come to terms with – being just friends. His motives blind him from the fact that friendship can be more beneficial than the relationship that he’s after. By pursuing a romantic relationship with her, he risks being rejected and losing the friendship altogether.
On the other hand, he might be content with friendship. He doesn’t see a romantic relationship with her and has never thought about it. She might be the beautiful girl that everyone else wants but for him, she’s truly just a friend.
The dependent one
We all agree that women have ways of making men do stuff: from being seductresses, control freaks, nagging girlfriends to blackmailing troublemakers. They place themselves in a position of authority while they don’t have any. They build their worlds around the life of a brother and suffocate him with continued need and presence. But don’t be mistaken when a woman just wants to be around you, she might be enjoying your company and is comfortable being around you. Or she might be interested in you but isn’t desperate for your love and attention.
Then there’s the variation that begs and relies on promises from a man for reassurance. They make you promise even the most insignificant thing so they can hold you to account if you don’t keep your world. This overdependence is obnoxious and wearying that you have no chance to think about this woman without recalling your shortcomings in her life. To them you’ll always be in debt. They have utterly no life without you. Such women are ever sad: seem to be experiencing a difficulty of life even when it isn’t clear what challenge she’s facing.
The independent one
There’s nothing as appealing to a man as an independent woman. One that is comfortable without a man. They don’t have to be filthy rich to be independent. They are content with what they have be it a lot or little. Thus we can concur that their emotional independence is their source of freedom from need.
We should have it clear however, that being independent isn’t disregarding men: competing with them and degrading them for satisfaction. Independent women are the kind that doesn’t need to step on men’s toes to feel in control. So every narcissistic woman out there falls miserably short of independence since not only does their narcissism prove their emotional dependence and parasitism but also they can hardly settle down with a guy due to their uncomely personality.

I did not include the beautiful woman in this list because it is not a particularly outstanding attribute among women. Many women have fallen into the trap of using their beauty as a tool. And while men have different definitions of beauty, too many women in a crowd are beautiful.
