One belt one road is a long term plan that will involve the present and future generations.
l look beyond what I see now and I see a place where the African child didn’t die because of malaria, typhoid, yellow fever, dysentery, malnutrition, starvation, road side accident, rejection and even faced with child abuse but they lived healthy, with good child care and were brought up with good morals, protected and showered with love by the people around them. And a Place where the African child was guided towards choosing the right path in life. The childhood is considered as the foundation of every human being and If the foundation is faulty then the building is destined to collapse, this means if the people in a nation are all corrupt, selfish, full of evil plans and bad ideas then that would lead to the downfall of that Nation.
And in this place the African youth wasn’t left to be unemployed, unskilled, uneducated, prostitutes, rapist, murderers, drug addicts, hoodlums, thieves, scammers and where the African youth were irrelevant to the society and were not considered as a negative influence on the society, but they were Kings and Queens who achieved their dreams and goal, and also contributed positivel to the building of the sociey. In this place The African youth voice were heard and listened to because they understood the importance of the future leaders to the Nation. This place was called The New Africa
I also dream of doing something that will be of positive effect to my society and to the world at large, of creating a World Charity Organization, of helping those in need in anyway I can,of being a successful artist and also a productive electrical engineer,of makin g my family and friends proud and being a strong and an outstanding African youth. These are my dreams and I believe they can be achieved through hardwork and determination.
My name is OGHENERUONA CLINTON OMAMOHWO, I come from Warri, Delta State, Nigeria . I Am of the Urhobo Ethnic group and the eldest child out of four in my famiy, I am 20 years old, studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 300 level at Fedral University Of Petroleum Resources Effurun(F.U.P.R.E). It is located in Delta state, Nigeria. Am also a Freelance Artist and writer. And lastly I am a proud African youth who have a dream and a vision and is willing to work towards achieving them. It is very Important for everyone to have a vision or a goal in life because its going to guide them on how to live their lives. I have always had these dreams and visions when I was younger and some of them have already been made a reality but there were times I felt like giving up on my vision because the time I was expecting to achieve them was delayed but I was mostly encouraged by my family, friends and the people around me and so I held on to that vision and this time even stronger than ever before even though it took longer than expected the important thing is that vision became a reality and therfore I want to use this medium to encourage all youths out there that as long as you can dream of it and envision it you can achieve it.And up till this day I have a Vision to help build a better Africa.
What is Vision? Vision is the state of being able to see, the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. Some youths don’t have a vision about their lives and as a result of that they just live their lives heedlessly. Any youth without a vision in life has no direction, purpose or even a specific plan on what to do with them selves and this could be very dangerous to them and even the people around them. So for this reason it is important u decide on what you want your vision to be,its never too late to have one.
While there are others who had a vision but with each passing day their vision faded away like a childhood memory and it was then forgotten and this could be as a result of the situations they find themselves in. Also they are those who have a vision and are working towards it. It would be of great benefit to the African youth and to the nation, if the leaders and elders of our societies could elighten the youths on the importance of having a vision and encourage those who have one not to give up on their visions no matter what happens. By doing this they would be building better youths and indirectly creating a stronger and better Nation. Also for those who are still holding on to their vision should be given the opportunity or a platform for them to express themselves and share their Ideas.
Its not just about having a vision, but having a vision that is beneficiary to you and everone around you and also having a positive effect around your environment and the world. The African youth are known as the future of Africa and Leaders of tomorrow, and so in order to build a better Nation, we would have to build strong youths with strong visions and minds.
So for this to be achieved they should be provided with the necessary resources that would help build them in all areas in life including mentally, socially, emotionally and for some even spiritually. Some of this resources includes good and sound education, skill acquisition training, entrepreneur seminars and good Internet access, platforms to train them and help them get ready as future leaders and Professionals in their respective areas of Specialty.
It should be a general dream for all African youth that all 54 countries in Africa would no longer have disputes between themselves but come together as one and plan towards building a brighter future for the present generation and future generations to come. This may be very difficult to achieve but it is not impossible, there is strength in unity and with this strength then accompined with hardwork and determination I believe it is possible to have One youth, One nation and One Africa.
To build a better Nation is definitely not going to be an easy task and its also not going to be a days job, it might take years or even decades. There are lots of steps and ways we could take towards achieving this goal and some of them includes;Increasing Agricultural activities, involving our selves and Investing in Researches regarding the different sectors, Electing of good, reliable and hardworking leaders that have a goal for our Countries also by minimalizing the rate of corruption and creating more entrepreneur in the society and Also to encourage and support the present entrepreneur with needed resources and lastly by Supporting the One Belt, One Road Initiative.
The One Belt, One Road Initiative is also know as the Silk Road Economic Belt and The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. It has two major parts , The first part is the Silk Road Economic Belt, This road stretches from China to Europe and encompassess a host of trade and infrastructure projects. While the second part is the 21ST Century Maryline Silk Road, This is the Seat Based network of shipping lines and port development throughout Asia and The Pacific. It aims to promote orderly and free flow of economic factors, highly efficient allocation of resources and deep integration of markets byincreasing the connectivity between Asian,European and African Continents and their adjacent seas.It is made available to all countries, international and regional organisations for engagement and honors mutual respect and market operation to seek common prosperity.
It was considered by the Chinese government as a means to enhance regional connectivity
and embrace a brighter future. It was suggested by Xi Jinping in late 2013 who is a General Secretary of the communist party of China, President of the People Republic Of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission and it’s was then later promoted by Premiere Li Keqiang during his state visit to Asia and Europe. This project includes a number of other huge projects, Including train lines stretching f rom eastern China to London Tjis Project is Covering 68 countries and encompassing 4.4 billion people and up to 40% of the global GDP. This initiative will benefit the middle east peace process, startsups in Dubai, currency trading, global poverty will be reduced, Xiniangs medical Industry, australian hotels, nuclear power, polish orchands, Africa and finally the entire world.
There might be difficulties associated with this project and some of this maybe due to its humongous nature, The risk of financial loss due to corruption, the risk of unplanned accidents, the risk of abandonment that is leaving the project half way. But just because of the Difficulties and the hurdles that may arise during the period of the project doesn’t mean we should lose hope and just give up on it. Despite these difficulties there are way more things to gain from this initiative. This initiative is considered as a real demand for infrastructure.
Have you ever had the dream to make the World a better place? To Build and help your Country? To be a part of World changing decision? Or contribute positively to the future of Africa? Then this is your chance to achieve this dream, you can do this by supporting the One Belt, One Road Initiative and also by telling your family, friends, neighbors about it. Explain to them what the project is all about and what the world stands to achieve when the project is successfully completed.th The achievement of this projeect it would lead to the beginning of a new era where there would be more job oppurtunities, more Investors, foreiners and business partners would be drawn towards our nation, there would be Academic exchange from one country to another, from one continent to another and as a matter of fact there would be quick and easy exchange of Academic related matters which would increase the spread of knowledge and will be beneficial to the world at large and also there would be rapid economic growth which would decrease the poverty and crime rate in our nation and then Common development of all countries and in the agricultural sector is gonna be flowing with more profits than ever befoe due to the increse in population. This project will produce millions of job oppurtunities and enable the youths to be able to attain their full potential. It will also develop infrastructural ties between countries and will reduce physical and regulatory barriers to trade ,this will reduce the loss of goods in the process of trasporting them and reduce the price of imported goods. Travelling from one country to another is going to be made cheaper but still comfortable. It will also reduce Seperatism and ensure social harmony between countries and nations just to mention a few.
This is a long term plan that will involve the present and future generations,I consider the One Belt, One Road initiative as a huge step towards building a better and stronger Nation, so I charge and encourage our leaders and Youths to read, understand and to consider the Benefits of this initiative that Africa and the world at large would stand to gain if and only if we decide to take a step towards this path that holds a brighter, stronger and a promising future for us all.Lastly I want to also remember each and everyone one of us that nothing good comes easy. we will all have to work hard for it.
It is said that little by little the ant makes it’s colony a thousand times its size. In other to grow into a better Nation it is of great importance that we work together with a main focus which should be building a better Nation and taking a step towards that goal. And after the One Belt, One Road Initiative. Africa would have new allies and friends from different parts of the world and one of our new found friends is going to be China. And this would be a very big event that would be edged in time for both the present generations and future generations to come and hopefully till the end of time. And I look forward to We all building a better Nation together and achieving our vision.
