The government needs to do its best to promote the use of youths.
The vision of our country lies in the hands of the youths, for the future of a nation lies in the hands of its posterity. They are filled with tremendous and towering ambitions. It will be a great wastage of human resources if these youths are not given an opportunity to exercise their talent.
The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its youth. The future of a nation lies in the hands of its posterity. The quality of its youth determines the kind of future, the nation will have. Therefore, if we want to ensure a bright future for our country, we first need to strengthen and empower our youth. The youth of any nation and society are its potential energy. They are the powerhouse and storehouse of infinite energy. They are the ones who are the pride of the nation. It is the youth which brings laurels to their country.
The primary role of young people is to get a good education in order to become better citizens of tomorrow. They need to learn skills to do the job that their country’s economy needs. They also need to know how to read, write, think, understand, analyze, and discuss the issues their country faces. The entire success of the nation depends on the youths. However, in order for continuous success to take place; it is the Government’s responsibility to provide the youth with proper facilities for, getting equipped with the knowledge of the modern era.
Youth is the spring of life. It is the age of discovery and dreams. They have the power to transform the nation into a better place. They also have the ability to lead their fellow citizens into the right direction. Youths are fighters. They fight for an identity in society, equality, the homeless, bullying, unemployment, exploitation, poverty and other problems which the world faces today. All of them hopes for a world full of opportunities, so great minds can conquer them and become better individuals. They need good morals and values to handle conflicts in a positive way.
We have aspiring doctors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and who knows; maybe the next president.
Illiteracy is a major around the world. About ninety percent of the people who reside in villages are illiterate. The reason is their utter ignorance and lack of initiative to lead them in the right direction. Someone has to pull them up. Here also, the young people can be of immense help.
The role of the youth is the most important in today’s time. They have underplayed themselves in the field of the politics. Youth are strong forces in social movements.
Youths are problem solvers. Our nations need them to resolve most of our problems. The nation is facing a lot of problems, and I believe that the youths are capable of solving them. They just need to be given a chance to prove themselves. Youths have the power to unite individuals in the six ethnic groups. Racism is an ongoing issue around the world. Individuals are fighting against each other because of the complexion of their skin and the texture of their hair. Religion is another issue, the youths can convince their fellow man to live in peace and love. All of us are one and we should not allow these little differences to push us away from each other.
The wise youths that we have out there should be taken into consideration. Some of them, though educated and with the much needed ideas and skills, are unemployed. They should be given an opportunity to expose their intelligence to the world and make themselves into someone. Some organizations and other firm should assist the youths; so they can make our land a great and educated one. They will make a huge difference in society and the entire world.
The role of the youth in the nation building is crucial. They are problem solvers, have a positive influence on other young people and the nation, and are extremely ambitious. They have the ability to create an identity for themselves and move the nation forward. However, they will not be able to do this without the support of their Government and fellow youths.
To build a better nation, firstly, the government should seek cooperation and partnership with developed countries like China, which will eventually finance some of our local projects in the country. The government should also attract more investors into the Kenya’s economy by lowering taxes on parastatals and other private companies. For investors to flow into the country in masses, the government should also guarantee full security to each and every citizen. Peace is a vital element in development. Owing to the influx of investors into the country, more companies and industries will be established, which will not only create employment to our citizens but also increase the revenue collection by the central government. This will help the government to comfortably carry out the various projects across the country. The government should also finance the youths who have entrepreneurial ideas. Many youths in the country have the ideas that will owe into development of our country, but they lack financing.
Secondly, the public should also be familiarized and educated through civic education on the importance of being loyal to our own country, for social homogeneity is vital for the building of a better nation. This will include prudent use of resources, respecting other people’s property, paying of taxes and maintaining peace. These will automatically provide a conducive atmosphere for national development. Currently, the country is being stagnated by the prevalence of corruption amongst all the citizens holding offices in every sector of the economy. If such individuals will stay loyal to the country, am sure we will be able to build a better nation, for every citizen.
Thirdly, quality education is vital for the building of a better nation. The government should heavily invest in education through creation of more universities and technical institutions, and furthermore providing them with the necessary materials needed for learning. Coupled with the industrious nature of a primarily youthful population, the rewards from such governmental steps toward promoting socio-economic development through education at the grassroots level will indeed bear fruit in the near future.
In addition, the government should encourage agriculture by funding the farmers and providing them with the necessary equipment for farming. Farmers in arid areas face a big challenge of lack of rain. The government should construct boreholes in such areas, provide farmers with irrigation equipment and also encourage planting of trees in the arid areas. This will culminate into increased and sufficient food production for the local population. The surplus food will be exported-this results to trade. The trade will not only earn income for the farmers but also will be a source of revenue for the central government. It will also increase cooperation among the trading partner-countries among many other benefits. This will greatly create a sustainable and better economy for every citizen.
China’s vision of community of shared future for all creates widespread resonance. It seems to have a genuine case of wanting to make the world a better place. China’s history of failure and success has given it the confidence to come up with ideas for making the world a better and more equitable place for all. The vision will be of great benefit to African countries as many of them lag behind in infrastructure, while China has accumulated both capital, technologies and good practices. China will therefore help these countries to develop in trade, industry, technology and infrastructure, this will accrue into creation of job opportunities for the citizens of the African countries, which will eventually improve their living standards.
A community with a shared future pursues open, inclusive, clean, and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity. According to the idea, countries should respect one another, discuss issues as equals, and resolutely reject a cold war mentality and power politics. This sets a peaceful atmosphere for the countries to cooperate in various commercial activities and developmental projects. The idea stresses promoting trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and making economic globalization more open, inclusive, and balanced so that its benefits are shared by all.
The vision of community of shared vision has so far accrued to benefits in many African countries. Like, for example, in Kenya, the SGR (Standard Gauge Railway), a Chinese project has resulted into creation of employment for the local people, eased transportation of goods from the coast of Mombasa to the interior of the country, it has eased the movement of people to and from the coast to Nairobi at a lower price, hence easing the transportation costs for the local people. The SGR is also an indication of infrastructural development in the country. The Chinese are also looking forward to creating the tallest tower in Africa in Nairobi Kenya. The tower will not only attract tourists across the world, but will also attract investors who would surely be glad to set up their business in the tower. The vision of a community of a shared vision will surely see into the massive development of the developing countries.
Owing to this, African youths should firstly identify the challenges their communities are facing, and try to come up with ideas to counter the challenges. The challenges ranges from economic to social challenges. The youths with ideas should stand out to be recognized by the government to finance their projects, which will eventually culminate into setting up of new industries, businesses, software and companies that will help solve many challenges such as unemployment.
The African youths should stay at the forefront of making their country a better place for everyone. Many youths are unemployed, we have to find ways of freeing ourselves from this-like taking loans from the government and starting businesses or any other commercial activity related to your university studies. This will eventually reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
China’s Belt and Road Initiative aims to connect Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa with a vast logistics and transport network, using roads, ports, railway tracks, pipelines, airports, transnational electric grids and even fiber optic lines. It’s all part of Beijing’s push to increase global clout — building modern infrastructure can attract more investment and trade along the route. The policy could also boost the domestic economy with demand abroad, and might soak up some of the overcapacity in China’s industrial sector.
Through this, we’ll see increased socio-economic ties among the countries. The transport network will ease the movement of transit-trade goods between China and Africa, hence development of trade. The electric grids will result in massive electrification of the African countries, enabling construction of industries across the African countries.
Most African youths use the internet on social platforms. They use the internet mostly when they are using social media such as whatsapp, facebook, snapchat, imo and Instagram. The African youths should be familiarized and encouraged through social platforms and seminars to use the internet for research, online learning-such as enrolling in online programming courses and other beneficial activities. Rather than spending most of their time on social media, which has less contribution to not only themselves but also the economy at large. The youths can also use the internet to share their ideas on how to transform the country into a better nation.
The youths can also use the social media to promote their businesses and various economic activities. They can advertise their goods on social media, of which interested parties can order for the goods.
The youths can also create applications and websites for online selling of goods. This is one of the best ideas the youths can use the internet to develop themselves and their country at large.
Kenya is a country endowed with youths with enough potential energy to move the nation to the next level, that is, if given an opportunity and support by the government. The country has many youths who have talents in various sports like football, volleyball, rugby, hockey and many others. The talent of such youngsters is hindered by the lack of enough training grounds in relation to their particular talents. The government should therefore construct sports training schools across the country, to sponsor the youngsters in realizing their dreams through their talents. This will not only be beneficial to the youngsters but also to the whole country at large as many people will be employed in the sports training schools. It will also improve the social homogeneity of the country.
My dream for my country Kenya is, by 2030, Kenya should be one of the most developed country in Africa. In order to realize this, the government should make tertiary education compulsory, grant free tertiary education for helpless people who can’t afford it. I want my country to be one of the best educated countries in the world like Finland, Singapore, Australia etc.
The government should also empower the youth through creation of a massive IT sector that can rival the Silicon Valley. Many of our young generations who want to pursue IT profession dream to settle in developed countries. This will help to curb the massive brain drain that can occur without it.
The government should also develop the seaport city Mombasa, it has a lot of potential and is in strategic position if a world class port is created in Mombasa it will give Kenya a very fast GDP growth, perhaps my country may rise into top 10 GDPs of the world in 2050.
The government should also connect all of the cities by super-fast bullet trains, so that people from one city can go to another city for businesses and return by evening. We should not only depend on the SGR, the government should create more and faster train network all over the country to enhance trade and businesses all over the country. The roads should be improved all over the country, as most of them are in bad conditions.
To end with, through youth empowerment, the country will realize its long term goals much faster. With youth empowerment in Kenya, the country will be able to realize its vision 2030. The youths should also unite, come up with ideas to develop the country. They should concentrate majorly on development projects ideas and projects that will transform our country into a better nation.
